About

Grad Girl Wellness was created by Dr. Angela Crumdy. She holds a BA in Anthropology and Latin American Studies from the University of Michigan and a PhD in Anthropology from the Graduate Center, CUNY. Following graduate school, she completed a Provost Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research has earned awards from the National Academy of Education/ Spencer Foundation, the Wenner Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research and many more!

Dr. Angela has over 10 years of teaching, mentoring, and program development for students at the high school, undergraduate and graduate level.

She created GGW halfway through her doctoral program when she recognized a lack of wellness resources geared toward graduate students. Since then, she’s turned her passion project into a vibrant community space for anyone looking for guidance on how to obtain an advanced degree with their wellbeing at the center. She is a certified yoga instructor (YTT-200). When not thinking about new ideas for GGW, she enjoys salsa dancing and volunteering.
