Q: I’m social distancing in a really rural area with super limited internet. What alternatives do you have for maintaining my home yoga and meditation practice?
A: Yoga books often provide sample routines/sequences as well as guidelines on how to create your own. If you find that there’s any way to travel somewhere and get connected, I would highly suggest downloading as much content as possible on to your phone and/or a flash drive. Luckily, apps like Headspace and Calm function offline! If you’re up for it, you could record yourself or enlist someone else to create a guided meditation that’s specific to your needs. My last suggestion is to consider what this new location has to offer. Can you go on nature walks, listen to birds chirping, walk around with your shoes off? Embrace this new location for what it has to offer.
